Who I am?
Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and currently living in Berlin, Germany my life remains deeply intertwined with art, inspiration at my doorstep. Though I began my practice externally inspired by the lives unfolding around me, my current lens is more introspective, while staying true to my passion for the human experience.
My art boldly takes on the contradictions of emotional engagement. From struggles with mental health, to the frenzied euphoria of a concert, and the whirlwind of life and lapses abroad; I create pieces which I hope resonate as a reminder of the symbiosis of serendipity and chaos.
Through whimsical forms and energetic colors my art is an expedition into the possibililties of emotion. To lean in ist to conspirre in the antics of mutual beginnngings and simultaneous ends.
Experiences
Though I am primarily a painter, I am also an experienced photographer, writer, sculptor, book-binder, collage artist, and more. I consider myself something of a Renaissance (Wo)man, a jack of all trades and master of a good few. Outside of art, I am an avid runner, cook, baker, reader, and music-enjoyer (unfortunately, I am only a mediocre musician at best).
In terms of work, these days you can find me teaching classes, in my studio getting ready for my next show, working on Anodyne Magazine (co-founder and creative director), and updating my online storefronts with new pieces for you to enjoy.
My work has been featured in publications such as Goddessarts Magazine Issue 11, the Run the Culture Exhibition in Septemer 2023, Persimmons, Lyceum, and more.
